One year ago today, this was me… laying in an ER after playing a game of softball. I ruptured my Achilles tendon and ended up with 2 soft casts, 3 hard casts, surgery, a walking boot, months of physical therapy, 29 stitches, and a wicked scar. This was the LEAST fun summer I’ve ever had. I wish this injury on no one. It was life altering injury, and I realized that I’m thankful for modern medicine and all the small things in life, like walking! (and hundreds more) Happy Birthday Achilles.
