Holy Tie-Dye Batman – Day 11

Here is a new version of Batman. I increased the value from the vintage light blue on an earlier piece, to the late 80’s early 90’s medium blue. I’ve attached him to a tie-dye skateboard deck. Because when you think of Batman, you think hippies and Woodstock. Right? I picked this board because the blues worked well together, and i started thinking of this piece as a closeup head shot in a comic book. And in some scene’s Batman might be thinking about his enemies, like the Joker. So the color scheme was much more Joker like (then Batman like), and maybe this was more of a thought bubble piece. The contrast of background and foreground is really the context of this piece. So the moral of this pieces is “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
